The Bahamas is a Independent State. They border Florida to the west and Cuba to the south. The Bahamas, this are about 700 islands of which about 60 are inhabited. They are famous for excellent sailing, diving and snorkelling.<\/p>\n
The southern part of the Bahamas is callesd the Exumas. There are world-class diving spots located. Exumas is less tourism, a contrast to the Abacos \u2013 the Islands in the north of the Bahamas. These are known for beach bars, fashionable restaurants and exclusive hotels.<\/p>\n
The most famous city is probably Nassau (airport code NAS). From there we start our trips.<\/p>\n
Our sailing trips lead either to the island of the Exumas or to the Abacos. On 2-week trips we sail to the Exumas and the Abacos.<\/p>\n
The water is mostly crystal clear, the blaze of colors of the Bahamas is world famous, you can already see it on satellite images.<\/p>\n
With temperatures of 26 to 29 degrees and easterly winds between 15 and 22 knots, sailing is definitely a pleasure. We sail distances of 10 to 30 miles on these trips daily.<\/p>\n
In addition to the enjoyable sailing with the sound of wind and waves, there is still enough time for dinghy or shore excursions as well as diving, snorkeling and for visiting Bars and Restaurants.<\/p>\n
We sail and dive and snorkel in one of the world’s best and most natural areas on this planet. The Bahamas have been a nature reserve since 1958.<\/p>\n
Extensive coral reefs, drop-offs, crystal clear water, sandy beaches, underwater caves, pinnacles, … a lot of exotic adventures await us here.<\/p>\n
